These Goddesses were first carved in the Cycladic islands in the Aegean, but were exported all over the Mediterranean region as far as Turkey & upper Egypt. Like the Naqada Egyptian Goddesses above, their exact role is unknown, but they were found, sometimes many at a time, in graves all around the Mediterranean.
