Available in a range of colours & glaze textures with more in this style on the way. These Goddesses were first carved in the Cycladic islands in the Aegean, but were exported all over the Mediterranean region as far as Turkey & upper Egypt. Like the Naqada Egyptian Goddesses, their exact role is unknown, but they were found, sometimes many at a time, in graves all around the Mediterranean. They were originally highly painted & would have been very colourful. The head shapes changed over the 2 millennia they were made, reflecting the different hair styles during that time. As each type has its own grace I have made mine available in 3 main styles.
