Ceramic Wildlife

All of my ceramic wildlife sculptures are made from Stoneware Clay, fired to 1240oC, & also painted with brick sealant, making them fully frost proof. They are ready threaded on the back with a mixture of polypropylene & stainless steel, which won't rot or rust & are ready to hang. The wall hanging sculptures are robust enough to withstand any weather, & will not rock in the wind.

I am no longer working in ceramic,

so as these fly away I am not replacing them!

Raven Shouting Into The Wind

Wall hanging sculpture 25cm (10") by 25cm (10")

Suitable for indoor or outdoor spaces, available in only blue glaze finish.

Only ONE of these left!

£99 plus postage or shipping. Check availability

Raven Shouting Into The Wind blue

Raven shouting into the wind with oak leaves whirling by, not being heard. With blue swirls of wind and leaves and a deep black Raven.

Wolf & Raven

Wall hanging sculpture 25cm (10") by 25cm (10").

Suitable for indoor or outdoor spaces, available in two types of finishes.

I'm fascinated by the cross species symbiotic hunting relationship between the wolf & the raven, which may well have enabled early humans to form a similar hunting relationship with wolves. I'm looking forward to finding out if the wolves planned to be re-introduced to Scotland strike up a hunting partnership

with the local ravens.

£99 each plus postage or shipping. Check availability

Wild Boar

wall hanging sculpture 25cm (10") by 25cm (10") wall hanging sculpture. Suitable for indoor or outdoor space.

These inquisitive creatures have been hunted to extinction, & re-introduced, several times in the UK. This sculpture is based on an image of a Wild Boar called Boris, a much loved Wild Boar from the Forest of Dean.

For more information on the Wild Boar of the Forest Of Dean please see: www.djsphotography.co.uk/British Mammals/Wild Boar.htm

£99 each plus postage or shipping. Check availability.

Wild Boar in Craft Crank, Copper and Rutile

One of the two types of Wild Boar I make, this one in craft crank clay which has a warm Cotswold stone kind of glow.

Leatherback Turtle

wall hanging sculpture 25cm (10") by 25cm (10") wall hanging sculpture. Suitable for indoor or outdoor spaces,

available in a range of colours & glaze textures.

These sometimes enormous creatures, (a few as big as a small car), although rarely seen, swim in waters around the British Isles feeding on jellyfish. Because plastic bags look very much like jellyfish when floating in the water, Leatherback turtles often ingest them. The turtles throats are cleverly designed with lots of downward pointing spikes inside to keep the jellyfish inside their stomachs, but also prevents the turtles from spitting out the plastic bags.

£99 each plus postage or shipping. Check availability.

bas-relief in an Art Deco Style 25cm (10") by 25cm (10") wall hanging sculpture. Suitable for indoor or outdoor spaces, available in 4 colours & styles, & can be displayed any way up including on the diagonal.

Much maligned as Britain's only venomous snake, they are in fact peaceful, rarely seen creatures, & I think, very beautiful.

£99 each plus postage or shipping. Check availability.

Suitable for indoor or outdoor spaces, available in a range of colours & glaze textures, & can be displayed any way up including on the diagonal.  Because of pollution, loss of habitat, acidification & reduced immunity to disease & fungus attack, amphibians are under great threat worldwide.

£99 each plus postage or shipping. Check availability.

Not endangered due to their adaptability & great skill at hunting. Never the less, I'm fascinated by the beauty and intelligence of cephalopods.

Cinnabar Moth Underglaze

Cinnabar Moth on its parent plant Ragwort. Made to raise awareness of this disappearing species due to DEFRAs mania about Ragwort, a plant poisonous to cattle and horses when dried in hay, but easily spat out when green in a field. A lack of ragwort leads to a loss of these beautiful day time flying moths, and I have only seen a handful of caterpillars but no adults in my 20 years of living in Devon.

The images below are of my larger animal wall hanging sculptures.
