Based on a Classical Greek
bronze head of Hypnos, the god of sleep, which was missing one wing. Mine is a
feminised or androgynised version, with both wings included, based on those of a
tawny owl, and with one wing folded over the face to be more evocative of being
enveloped in sleep .
These Garden Sculptures are part of a range of larger-scale work with new pieces being added all the

settings. All these sculptures are weather resistant and have been treated
with a sealant to resist water penetration and so deter frost damage. They
should not however be placed directly
in water, particularly if there is any likely-hood of the water freezing, as
this may damage them over time. |
